It’s been..

5 years anniversary on 25th. And I am beyond grateful for all this years, for my journey and for everything I’ve learned since in the UK 🇬🇧

Long story short, let me tell you mine 😊
On 25th June 2016 I entered for the first time in the United Kingdom, more specifically in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. As the song says „I came here for love”, was also true for me. Young and in love I followed my at the time partner to England, for a new beginning and a better life. It didn’t work out, people don’t change by changing places, and after more than a year I’ve decided to go a separate way. It was hard, it was lonely, it was challenging and most of all it was rainy days, because that’s the weather like in the UK 🇬🇧 😅.
Why I chose to stay, and not returning to my home country after struggling by myself, I don’t know, I guess it was just meant to be to continue this journey. But one thing I’m sure off and in time life showed me that everything works togheter for the best of those who believe. 🙏❤️

Now, looking back, I see only good, call me a dreamer, call me an optimistic person, but…it is what it is.

5 things I’m happy I learned and experienced in this 5 years :

1. Saying please and thank you, along with sorry, sometimes hundred times a day. I’ll be honest, it did not came naturally, I’ve been told off many times for not using this words, but I now they meant well. Now I could not see myself not one day not thanking or asking politely, it’s a part of me.
2.The warmth of people on all those rainy days. Let me tell you, I don’t like the weather in the UK and I will never get used to it, but there is something that makes up for all the cloudy rainy days : British people are the most friendly, smiley and warm people I’ve ever met 🤗 I am so grateful for all of you my friends.
3.I’ve found myself and I’ve found spirituality. Because only when you’re down and alone you find out how strong you are, how amazing and what you are capable of. Blessed ❤️
4.Sarcasm.. Ohhh dear, I’ve never thought I’ll be a sarcastic person who doesn’t mind other people being sarcastic and can’t imagine not one day without a sarcastic comment. Some say it’s a good thing, those who don’t understand will say it’s a bad habit, but.. 🙃
5.Simplicity. So if you’re a romanian or if you know romanian people than you noticed that favourite national sport for them is showing of in a way that they make a simple lifestyle look wrong. Probably it won’t make sense, it didn’t to me either, till I’ve heard something that made me understood the meaning of giving, receiving and knowing those around you.

It’s been long 5 years, bad days out shined by the good ones, memories replaced by experiences and a new me that know that the best is yet to come. 😁 Too many more to come 😁

Thank you 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 🇬🇧🤗
